An Information Technology Park developed by Larsen & Toubro located within the Kerala Government promoted Infopark campus. The design attempts to synergise green building concepts with technological functionality. The building of about 4,00,000 sft is bisected in the middle by a soaring glass roofed atrium which brings natural light to the inner recesses. Green building initiatives include water harvesting and reuse , landscape and exterior design to reduce heat islands , renewable energy technologies , building management system and sensor based lighting ,HVAC and sanitary and plumbing systems and solar passive design. The exterior minimises the use of glass to reduce heat gain and creates a dynamic composition of angular elements accentuated by colour. Essential parameters include floor plate of about 35,000 sft centralised and flexible disposition of services ,efficient floor plate and building as per National Building Code.
